“Weaving as Metaphor” by Sheila Hicks
http://store.bookdummypress.com/product/weaving-as-metaphor-by-sheila-hicks
This intriguing catalogue was first published in conjunction with the exhibition in NY. It examines the small woven and wrought works Sheila Hicks, an American fiber artist, has produced for the past fifty years. The pages have been cut in such an irregular, textured way that the sides of the book feel like a woven piece themselves. The designer of this book Irma Boom, won the gold medal for “Most Beautiful Book in the World” prize at the Leipzig Book Fair for this book.
